About Cathy Genevie
Cathy has extensive training in Muscular Therapy and has been developing therapeutic applications for soft tissue pain since 1994. She is a graduate of the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Therapy and has completed post graduate work in Sports Massage, Structural Integration, Trigger Point Therapy, and Shiatsu. Cathy has worked in diverse therapeutic settings including Neurology, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, and more recently in private practice. Though many clients come for the benefits of health maintenance, the majority come to Cathy for pain relief. She brings a great breadth of knowledge and practical experience to the area of Muscular Therapy.
Cathy is also a Kripalu trained Yoga Teacher and is certified by Yoga Alliance. She has studied in both the USA and Britain under several exceptional teachers. Cathy brings a creative teaching style to her classes that is compassionate and well languaged. Her classes reflect a deep understanding of Yoga, a talent for teaching methods that make difficult things easy, and an awareness of the body gained through years of study and practicing therapeutic massage.
Cathy received a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Rehabilitation from Marshall University, USA in 1983.
